Scrappy. Robust. Comfortable.
Little M8s clothes are made for kids. Made for playtime. For getting messy, exploring the world and going on adventures. Made for mud pies, scavenger hunts and slippery dips. In bright colours that inspire fun times, your little mate will delight in discovering, exploring and growing with Little M8s.
Hey- that’s my favourite!
It’s that t-shirt that can’t ever be in the laundry or there will be tears. Our clothes are destined to be your child’s new and enduring favourite. We make clothing that children choose to wear all the time (and that you won’t cringe to see them in yet AGAIN).
Low, slow & Local
Little M8s understands that there aren’t strict seasons for your kids clothes anymore (er, yeah thanks for that climate change). So we do a few drops of new styles a year that are trans-seasonal and in most cases can be worn year round. We won’t overwhelm you with lots of designs, just the best designs!
We don’t travel far to make Little M8s. Here’s how we do it…Little M8s creator Gemma works on patterns and designs from her home in Pascoe Vale...then sources fabric from local Melbourne stores…before Little M8s get manufactured in Brunswick, providing industry and jobs locally here in Melbourne. And the total round trip? 13.2kms. No air freight or container ships required for us!
We know how to have fun.
Childhood is about discovery, exploration and most of all- FUN! Clothes that can’t ride a bike, eat an ice-cream or climb the monkey bars can stay on the hanger!
Little M8s is the creation of Melbourne maker Gemma Patford. Taking inspiration from watching her young daughter at play, Gemma wanted to see her move freely and comfortably with no concerns about getting dirty or trying to look a certain way. Gemma describes Little M8s as sweet and sturdy clothing that lets kids be kids.
We’re makers. And we love working with other makers. So our Rainbow Lizzie Lizard mascot which you’ll see on our clothing was designed by Melbourne local legend Steph Hughes. And we don’t want to brag, but 2019 National Portrait Prize finalist Mia McDonald styled and shot our beautiful imagery. Thank you Mia & Steph for being mates of Little M8s.
